The Polish Photovoltaics Association, together with 24 other non-governmental and industry organisations, has signed an open letter to Minister of Energy Miłosz Motyka, urging him to accelerate work on the update of the National Energy and Climate Plan (aKPEiK).

The authors of the letter emphasise that the aKPEiK is a key strategic document that will define the directions for the development of Poland’s energy sector over the next decade. Updating the plan is crucial for achieving climate goals, ensuring energy security, and making full use of EU funds supporting the energy transition.

The signatories point out that without adopting the updated plan, it will be difficult to effectively coordinate actions in sectors such as heating, transport, industry, buildings, and fuels. In their appeal, the organisations call for, among other things:

  • the development of national analytical tools and energy system models,

  • the creation of a coherent, cross-ministerial implementation plan for the transition,

  • and the lasting strengthening of dialogue with stakeholders and society.

The letter was signed by 25 organisations working for sustainable energy, including numerous industry associations, think tanks, and expert initiatives.
