The Ministry of Climate presented a new draft of the National Energy and Climate Plan. The share of renewable energy in the power industry is to increase to 56% in 2030.

According to the scenario presented by the Ministry, 29 GW of solar energy is to be installed in Poland by 2030. By 2040, this capacity is to increase to 46.2 GW.

In order to achieve this goal, investments in the power system are necessary. In total, PLN 1.2 trillion has been earmarked for the largest investments in the power industry – transmission, distribution, capacity – in the years 2021-2040.

The draft of the National Energy and Climate Plan will soon be published for consultation. Its adoption and sending to Brussels is planned by the end of the year.
